What the site remembers

The required ma_delivery_age_verified cookie remembers that you confirmed you are 21 or older for 180 days. Older visits may also have the same confirmation in local browser storage. This prevents the age screen from reappearing on every page.

The required cdm_analytics_consent cookie remembers an allow or decline choice for analytics for 180 days. The 21+ confirmation is not treated as permission for analytics.

Location detection stays on your device

If you choose “Use my location,” your browser provides coordinates to the page once. The page matches that point against Massachusetts municipal boundaries in your browser. Precise coordinates are not saved, sent to our server, or sent to Google Analytics.

Analytics is optional

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set _ga cookies and receive page paths and privacy-limited interaction events such as selecting a town, using the Open Now filter, opening an operator profile, or leaving for an operator’s website.

We do not send exact addresses, precise coordinates, phone numbers, payment details, order contents, checkout totals, or item-level cannabis prices to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising personalization, and Google signals are disabled in this implementation.

You can decline without losing any directory feature. Changing your choice to “No thanks” stops new analytics events and removes the Google Analytics cookies the page can access.

Aggregate referral counters

When a shopper follows one of our verified handoff links, the site may increment a first-party aggregate count for the date, operator, action type, page context, and—when applicable—town. These counters do not store an address, exact location, IP address, user-agent string, cookie identifier, or a person-level browsing history.

Daily aggregate counts are kept for approximately 120 days. Longer-running operator and town totals retain counts plus the first and latest event times so we can understand whether the directory is useful.

External operator websites

Licensed operators control their own menus, address checks, age and ID verification, payments, and fulfillment. Their sites have separate privacy practices. Cannabis Delivery Map receives no checkout details merely because you follow a handoff link.
