Adult-use cannabis delivery is temporarily restricted in Wayland under CCC waiver DW-2026-011 through June 26, 2028. The Select Board initially tabled the question on May 4. On June 1, it voted 4–1 to authorize the Town Manager to seek the waiver. Four members treated the town’s earlier marijuana restrictions as covering the new delivery policy. Member David Levine dissented, saying business-to-consumer home delivery was different from the business-to-business transport addressed by the older vote.

The Select Board discussed the new state cannabis-delivery law. A motion to authorize the Town Manager to seek the waiver was withdrawn, and the Board unanimously tabled the matter for further discussion.

The Board voted 4-1 to authorize Town Manager Michael McCall to sign the opt-out waiver.
The Board reconsidered the waiver. Member David Levine said the earlier Town Meeting vote addressed marijuana establishments and business transport, not home delivery. Member Thomas Fay argued that transport was already covered by the prior action.
