Adult-use cannabis delivery is temporarily restricted in Lexington under CCC waiver DW-2026-012, effective July 13, 2026 through July 13, 2027. At its June 15 meeting, the Select Board discussed taking a short pause while the town gathered public feedback. Members Mark Sandeen and Jill Hai questioned whether a waiver was needed, while members Douglas Lucente, Vineeta Kumar, and Joseph Pato supported a one-year period for outreach and a later decision. The Board ultimately voted 5–0 for the one-year request and authorized the Town Manager to submit it.

The Board voted 5-0 by roll call to request a one-year waiver and authorized the Town Manager to submit it.
The Select Board discussed whether to seek the new delivery waiver and how long it should last. Members Lucente, Kumar, and Pato supported a one-year pause to collect public input and set a decision point. Members Sandeen and Hai questioned whether a waiver was necessary, while also supporting a defined public process rather than an open-ended restriction.
